Dr. Shiffman holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Guelph and has extensive training in the assessment and treatment of infants, children, adolescents, and families. Prior to his work in private practice, Marc gathered experience working in the Toronto District School Board (TDSB) and the Centre for Addictions and Mental Health (CAMH). Marc also completed an internship at the Hincks-Dellcrest Centre. There, amongst other areas of training, he specialized in the assessment and treatment of infants and preschool-age children (e.g., Watch, Wait and Wonder parent-child psychotherapy). Marc’s doctoral dissertation, conducted at the CAMH, explored peer relationships in transgender adolescents. He has several years of experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults struggling with related issues. In addition to his clinical interests, Marc is an avid sports fan and has eclectic musical tastes.
